What does the heart with wings mean?

The center of man, a solar symbol, the heart is the link between heaven and earth, the seat of the divine in the microcosm-man. The heart is likened to the alchemical mercury, the lapis or grail.
Reestablished conscious contact with the spark of inner spirit (the Higher Self), the Heart to which the Wings are added, represents the symbol of elevation to heaven.
Translated into alchemical language it is the rectified Mercury that has received Sulfur, the union of the two feminine-masculine principles (moon and sun).

In the human being it is the union of the two poles, it is completion through overcoming the conflicts between the Shadow and the Self (Atma in religious terms), which implies the opening of Intuition and inner vision which is realized with the activation of the third eye (6th and 7th chakras vibrating in unison). With this the head-heart connection is also established.

A heart with wings is the symbol of the Sufi movement (Islamic mysticism), which shows man the way to recognize God in his heart and awaken the soul to ascend to higher states (symbol of wings that elevate).
This symbolism with variations and the addition of allegorical elements is often taken up in the facades of churches and cathedrals, an example being the Renaissance facade, called "of the speaking stones," of the parish of San Lorenzo di Saliceto, which depicts a chalice (allegory of the heart, symbol of the Holy Grail) with a winged-headed putto above it, a reference to the volatile mercury that rectifies matter by spiritualizing. The putto is above the chalice (emerges or immerses), with the probable meaning that it comes to life from it and remains connected to it.
